Royal Canadian Golf Course Summer Wedding | Oakville Wedding Photographer

It was a beautiful summer day. HOT, but beautiful. The outdoor ceremony went off without a hitch and Mauricesa and Bob were finally married before family and friends, and lots of cheers and hollers! The reception that followed was full of fun - including dance games, a Steel Band, and all that comes with having such fun loving guests! You can see from the reception pictures just how much fun was had, and these were all before 10 pm :) I have no idea what went on after that!

Congratulations to you both! It was a lovely day and I smile every time I look at these photographs!

Love, Bee xo

Cherish Workshop Toronto at Graydon Hall Manor | Toronto Wedding Photographer

I had the privilege of attending an amazing wedding workshop back in May, hosted by Laura Olsen Events.  The two days were full of amazing inspiration from so many vendors, fun little workshops on styling (which is something I know little about!), and a gazillion opportunities for photographing beautiful people and things!  The best part was meeting so many wonderful people, especially Laura, she is full of sunshine and creativity and I am so happy she put this course together for us stylists and photographers!  I also got to listen to the AMAZING and colourful Tiffany Pratt.  My mind left her talk full and ready to change my whole mindset on my business and photography style.  She also inspired me to go home and add a whole crapload of colour to my house and life! Let`s brighten the day, and give no care to what people think. (i had already painted my dining room turquoise a month previous, so I think I may have already been on the right track as to where I wanted to go with my style).  Another gem in the mix - the talented and knowledgeable brain behind The Wedding Sparrow, Sara. She is super sweet and helpful and very encouraging.  One day I will get featured on her site...its a goal!  There are really way too many awesome people I met to list them all, but I will list them all at the bottom of the post!

Overall, the biggest thing I learned is how valuable a wedding planner/stylist is and I will be suggesting to all my new couples they look into hiring one!

I am sharing my film images from the workshop as part of my Film Blog Circle for this month! I was shooting with my Pentax 645n MF film camera, on Portra 400, Portra 800 and also Fuji 400h. It was a good day to shoot all three stocks and compare which I like best. Conclusion - I still do not know! I love how all of them turned out! (Thanks Caribou Lab!)

NOW! MOre filmy eye -candy...pop over to see Erica's blog of summer images! Beeee-utiful!

Ayshia ♥ Misha's Country Camping Wedding | Mansfield Outdoor Center | Mansfield Wedding Photographer

I have no idea how I forgot to blog this wedding! NO IDEA. It was my favorite for so many reasons. The bride and groom are amazing. They love each other like it is their last day together and it shows in every single image I took that day.  They are hilarious and fun and I felt like a guest at this wedding, not just the hired help :) The wedding was held at a fun little campground. They rented the entire camp out for family and friends to stay the weekend. They named each cabin with personal inside-joke names. They laughed and cried and the very best part of this wedding was that I knew it was about Ayshia and Misha and their life together, not just a big show or event put together for everyone else, which often weddings can become. This was a celebration of their life and love.

(and I apologize for this massive blog post but there are too many images I love!}

It`s all in the Details | Wedding Decor Photography | Alliston Wedding Photographer

Details details details!  Since the dawning of Pinterest it seems that details play an even bigger role in weddings that in the past.  Many DIY ideas, beautiful themes, gorgeous decor that the Bride and Groom spend so much time perfecting. And this also means that photographing the wedding decorations becomes almost as important as photographing the actual ceremony itself!  And why not, when so much blood, sweat and tears go into making every single details perfect? I would want it all photographed as well, to remember forever, and maybe also to show off to friends and family a bit  :) Why wouldn't you!? Its your hard work and we all want to be congratulated for that!

This past summer gave me the opportunity to shoot so many gorgeous weddings.  The theme of the summer was Rustic and DIY. I actually think this is a trend that will continue for awhile. Its simple, sweet and so very pretty!

Let's take a look at all the simple decor of 2014 shall we!?

A Whole lot of Handsome Men | Groom Photography | Alliston Wedding Photographer

I figured a title of "handsome men" would get your attention, No?

Usually we find a lot of bride images online so let's mix it up today and feature the guys!

2014 had me shooting a lot of weddings, some on my own and often alongside some of my favourite photographers.  I love second shooting weddings because I can be a tad bit more creative and I have the bonus of not having to edit a bazillion photos after! :)

But that also means I hardly get around to looking at the photographs I did take, until the cold winter when I have more time for fun editing!  (Which is now)

Often as the second photographer you are given the task of hanging with the boys before the ceremony, which is usually fun and chilled out! So for this post I thought I would share some of my favourite Groom photos from 2014.

Images posted were shot at weddings alongside Carolyn Bentum Photography, Jenn Eggleston Photography and Liz Heikoop Photography

St. Lawrence Market Kitchen Wedding | Downtown Toronto Wedding Photographer

What a great wedding! This couple and I had a lot of fun at their previous engagement session so going into the wedding I felt pretty comfortable with them!  Robyn and Mike`s personalities shown through every detail of this wedding - to Robyn`s glittery GOLD wedding dress,  the venue at the St Lawrence Market Kitchen, the details, the midnight S`Mores Buffet, and even both of their mom`s speeches, complete with an embarrassing throwback slideshow of each of them!  (Good job Moms!)

Once again I had a couple choose to do a First Look! I loooove when couples do first looks! Yes it takes away the surprise at the altar, but oftentimes that altar first look is so quick and on display, that the couple does not really get to soak it in. Plus they are often nervous with everyone watching them!  A pre-ceremony first look is awesome - and I always give my couple a few moments (or as long as they would like) right after to just chat and hug and kiss and enjoy the moment of seeing each other dressed in their wedding gear for the first time!

Anyway, I am going to stop gushing about this wedding and let you enjoy it. And I will apologize now for the extreme amount of photos to come......

Cheers and congrats to you, Robyn and Mike - may you live a long life of happiness and laughter together xo♥
