At Seasons we love chatting with new brides, we encourage brides to bring us their ideas and lists of things they want to include in their special day, colours, themes, unique activities. This gives us an overall idea of what they are hoping to achieve. We ask for preferred budgets, so we can better quote aspects that will be most effective for their goals.
I LOVE all of the trends thatI am seeing - they are interactive and fun and entertaining - all things you want your wedding to be! Weddings are not just for your parents to hang out with their friends anymore! They are a whole day dedicated to the couple and their most favourite people - a day to dance or party and celebrate and share in the love of the couple! That being said, every couple is different and many still stick to the more "traditional' wedding trends, but for those of you looking for some new ideas, here is a list of some recent trends I have been seeing (and LOVE!)
Recently I heard a funny story from a fellow photographer. She told us about one current Bride who "blocked" a friend who was also getting married from using said photographer for her own wedding. The photographer said the current Bride was kind and sweet and was not really sure why she was telling her friends not to book her. To be honest, this whole situation baffled me!
How do you want to remember your wedding? Of course we hope its imbedded into our minds forever but as time goes on some of those memories may start to fade. Its great we hire photographers to capture these moments forever, and you may want to have your photographer design you a beautiful heirloom album that can be passed down to your children and grandchildren. As we know, the times they are a changin' and digital files may be obsolete in a decade.
