Um, hello Gorgeous!! It's no wonder they met and fell in love.

Sarah and Jon met in high school, continued on to University together, bought a house, and finally decided to tie the knot and become one forever. Their beautiful ceremony took place at the new and improved Guild Inn Estate in Toronto. Make sure you check it out, and if you are planning an outdoor ceremony, I really loved this venue! The ceremony space is covered, but the walls are open so that even if it rains, you can still be outside. It does get a bit windy but the light inside is so bright and clean. Plus its all stone and white walls which make for some classic imagery. (Photographers - you will love it!)

Both Sarah and Jon are sweet and kind and genuinly amazing people. I knew this when we first talked on the phone and it was confirmed even more after spending the day watching them interact with family and friends.  They both have a large group of close friends who surrounded them on their wedding day.

Even while getting ready, they had their friends and family right by their side. Family and friends are important and I love seeing who my couples choose to be around when they get ready for the wedding day. There is a lot going on and most people will only allow the people they trust most to be there!

Sarah and Jon chose to do a first look ebfore the ceremony, which gave us a lot of time to capture portraits of them both before and after the ceremony. If you do a first look, I always insist on doing another mini portrait session after the ceremony, because the vibe once you are actually married is often different!

Party Time! I love receptions because I always get to learn a lot more about the couple. Sometimes even TOO much! Stories are told, jokes made (usually by Dads) and there is always so much joy and emotion and good times. And even if its the first time we met, I usually always get a little teary during speeches.

Remember when I talked about going for that second portrait time later on? Well its always my favourite because it gives couples a time to just be alone, savour the moment, and step back and enjoy each other for 10 minutes or so without all the chaos of the wedding day.  Plus, we usually get some delicious golden light to work with if the timing is right.

Oh, maybe we can sneak into forbidden areas too.
