Well Hello Blog! It's been awhile! Guys, I am so sorry I have not been blogging all these amazing couples and weddings, but my time has been spend actually photographing and editing them! Seeing as John and Nicole are getting married this weekend in the beautiful Blue Mountains, I thought I should pop online and post some images from the evening we spent together a few months ago! 

My favourite thing about engagement sessions is getting to hang out with, and get to know the couple better before the big day!  I always ask a few probing questions before we plan a location such as "where did you meet, what does your perfect day look like, where would you go, what music would you listen to?"  This gives me a peak into their lives, but also my creative brain will start coming up with all these fun ideas of things to do for their session may be a little bit different than most of the "let's go to the park and smile" engagement sessions out there! 

Since John and Nicole met in high school (although they did not start dating until afterward), we thought it would be fun to head back to their roots and do a little shoot at the school! Go MUSTANGS! 

We started out at their home, which is their first home together so it will be special to have these photos to show their family one day, then we headed back in time to high school, and ended up at a local park that brought up many childhood memories for both of them.  It was a great night!
