How to Keep your Business Separate from your Personal Life
Jessica and Alex's Engagement Session in Kensington Market Toronto | Toronto Photographer
We hung out one Sunday afternoon at Kensington Market in Toronto and just wandered the colourful streets, stopping to play a little hopscotch, taste-test some donuts for the wedding, and have some tea. These two love tea, donuts, games and books so it was the perfect day in Toronto.
Stress-Free Friday - How to Plan for your Engagement Photos
You have decided to do engagement photos! Yay! Now what?
Personally I like to think of an engagement session as a little date. If you were planning a romantic date night, would you go to a random park and cuddle under random trees? Probably not. Choose a place that is meaningful to the two of you. If that park was where you got engaged or first met, sure let’s go there! Or maybe you love going to local patios and enjoying a cold beer – then go there! Take the dog for a walk, browse your favourite book store together, or better yet, just stay home and cuddle on the couch!

Cambium Farms Wedding - Elise and Brandon | Caledon Wedding Photographer
Elise and Brandon's autumn wedding day turned out to be a cold, rainy and WINDY day, inside the barn at Cambium Farm, and that did not stop anyone from having a blast! They may have been bundled up in blankets, but the guests stayed til the end to show love and party with the Bride and Groom! Take a peek at the video and you will see how windy it was!
Five Reasons you should Take Engagement Photos
So many couples ask me WHY should we do an engagement session? What's the point? Especially if you are a private couple who won't be sharing photos of yourselves all over social media. Well, let me tell you some reasons why I love when couples choose to do an engagement session and maybe one of them will relate to you!
Guild Inn Estates Toronto Wedding | Sarah and Jon
Sarah and Jon met in high school, continued on to University together, bought a house, and finally decided to tie the knot and become one forever. Their beautiful ceremony took place at the new and improved Guild Inn Estate in Toronto. Make sure you check it out, and if you are planning an outdoor ceremony, I really loved this venue! The ceremony space is covered, but the walls are open so that even if it rains, you can still be outside. It does get a bit windy but the light inside is so bright and clean. Plus its all stone and white walls which make for some classic imagery. (Photographers - you will love it!)
Georgetown Baby Photographer | Baby Coleton is 8 Months!
Eight months flew by! I absolutely love when parents choose my Grow With Me package because I get to see the kids grow up right before my camera! This is the second time Ashley and Michael have spent their baby's first year with me and its even more neat to see the similarities and differences in their two boys.

Toronto Distillery District and Cherry Beach Engagement Session
Christine and Tony met sailing so it only seemed natural to shoot engagement pictures at the beach. They chose Cherry Beach in Toronto, and then we headed to their home with awesome views overlooking Toronto skyline and the CN Tower. They live right in the Distillery District so we popped down to the streets to end the session

River Run Centre Wedding | Guelph Ontario | Maggie and Ben
"I would send you a bouquet of newly sharpened pencils if I knew your name and address.”
Maggie and Ben get married at River Run Centre in Guelph Ontario, where they first met while attending University. The venue is awesome with floor to ceiling windows and great acoustics (it is a theatre after all!) The wedding decor was based around thier love for literature.

Holi Powder Family Photo Shoot and some Tips to Make it Awesome
Here are some quick tips if you plan to do a session with coloured Holi Powder.
Tip #1 - Just Buy It! At first I was not able to find it in stores, only for a really high price on Amazon, so I googled and found a ton of recipes online for DIY Holi Powder. FIVE days later, I made about 6 bags of it and let me tell you, it was a P.I.T.A. Plus, I followed a recipe that used flour, and flour does not stick when its dry, so when we threw it, it did practically nothing. Good thing about 3 days before the shoot my friend messaged me and offered to give me a ton of bags of the real stuff. Buy the real stuff, it sticks to skin and is super vibrant and awesome!
