The Doctor's House New Year's Eve Wedding | Kerri and Travis | Caledon Wedding Photographer

5-4-3-2-1! Happy New Year!

What a night, What a day actually! Kerri and Travis spent New Year's Eve 2017 with their closest friends and family for a cozy winter wedding ceremony at The Doctor's House Chapel, then inside to the Heritage room for plenty of laughs, drinks, a live band and some unexpected surprises!

This was the second time I shot here at the Doctor's House, both in the winter, and the venue is gorgeous! The Chapel is a quaint little space, which can pose some shooting challenges if full, but if you have the right lens, you are golden! A month before I shot inside at night, so this time having some natural light gave it a whole new feel!

Who wouldn't love going to a wedding on New Years, its a great reason to get dressed up and party the night away with 100 or more of your best people!

Ill leave you now with the images that best tell the story of this love filled day and some words of advice from the Bride

What was most important to you when planning your wedding?

When planning our day I don't think there was one thing that was the MOST important.  What we wanted to be sure we had a venue that spoke to us, our favourite people in the whole wide world there with us and a fabulous photographer to document each moment so we wouldn't forget a thing!

What do you remember most about your wedding day?

I think for me, the moment I love the most and one that sticks out to me is standing at the back of the chapel with my dad, pausing to see all our family and friends and seeing my almost husband smiling back at me. Those few seconds felt like forever and I felt so much excitement and anticipation of everything that was about to happen!

Any advice for future couples?

For all future brides I would say, don't get caught up in the small details. They don't matter at the end of the day. Make sure you have your friends and family good food, good music and the best photographer to capture all the happens. It goes by so fast and there are so many moments, looks, dances that you totally forget about until you get those photos back!

Always remember that the most important thing on your wedding day is to enjoy each other and those who are celebrating that special moment with you! Don't worry about the little bumps along the way! Trust me they won't matter the day after!

How did you choose your wedding photographer?

I asked around for other couples suggestions, got advice from everyone on what to ask, what to look for and searched through all the recommendations and chose the photographer that spoke to me! So glad I found Bobbi Jo and Love Bee Photography!!!
